By Adam ValvasoriOn Wednesday Jane Harris (Customer Service Manager) and I went to the Victorian Employer’s Chamber of Commerce & Industry’s (VECCI’s) Grow Me The Money AWARD FOR ACTION lunch held at the amazing Charcoal Lane in Fitzroy.
Grow Me The Money is the fantastic program we’ve been using to structure our Green Team’s meetings and activities. There’s a representative from every department on the team.
The participating company’s Green Team Action Plans were judged by a panel of experts and I’m proud to announce The Body Shop won in our category of +100 employees. Yay us!
The real work is just beginning, but made easier by the award money ($5,000) we won which will be put towards implementing some of our 16 (award winning) enviro action ideas.
More of our workings and achievements will be shared with you in due course but the recommendations in the Action Plan target improvements to reduce our energy, transport, water and waste.
Thanks to everyone on the Green Team who contributed so much to winning this great industry award. We’re really looking forward to continuing our work to improve our sustainability.
