By Deb Baxter - The Body ShopHappy New Year to you all.
I sincerely hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year and that 2011 is filled with wonderful things for you all.
I have to say, there was more than one occasion when I felt very guilty over the Christmas/New Year period. Wonderful times with my family and friends that I would not change for the world, but times when we had so much food it seemed ridiculous, especially when some of it still had not been consumed after a few days, so out in the rubbish it went...
There are so many people who never see Christmas; where every day is a struggle and suffering is all that is known. As we reflect on the joyous times that we have just had, we should also take a moment to think of those less fortunate. Whether it be the homeless, those seeking Asylum in a luckier country, or those living in poverty for one or more of so many reasons... we should all take time to consider, just how lucky we are.
Perhaps you are in the fortunate position of receiving more cash or gifts than you need this Christmas. If you are lucky enough for this to be the case, I challenge you, to use this to make a difference...
I'm going to leave it with you, to see what you can come up with!
