TBS Activists travel to Canberra

On the 3rd of March 2011, The Body Shop Australia is sending a delegation to Canberra to handover our Stop Sex Trafficking of Children & Young People petition to Adam Bandt MP. The Member for Melbourne represents the electorate where we collected the most petitions and he's very enthusiastic about tabling the petition and helping to amplify our voice in Parliament.

Nationally we collected 256,173 signatures and we're the second The Body Shop "country" in the world to hand over our petitions to Government (Denmark was the first). Globally, The Body Shop has collected nearly 5 million signatures.

We also have meetings booked in with Hon. Kevin Rudd MP's Senior Advisor, Julie Bishop and Brendan O'Connor.

Wish us luck! We're going to shout STOP! until someone listens.

Stay tuned to our TBS Activist Facebook page for live updates.
